In our standard kits the main structural whips overlap and are woven together. The maximum whip lengths we can send is 9 ft and this restricts the size of the structures that can be made. Due to customer demand we now offer the following adapted kits which contain some longer plus some extra whips to allow ‘bigger’ ie taller and/or wider Tunnels and Domes to be made. The main structural whips do not need to fully overlap because they are held together by the extra whips which are tied in to hold the shape of the structure until new growth on the rooted whips can be woven in to take their place - with average growth this should be by early July.
The kit contains : 24 x 9 ft and 19 x 7 ft willow whips and will create a dome/playhouse/bower having the following maximum dimensions - inside height 6 1/2 feet & 7 feet base diameter.
