Agate Jewellery
Amber Jewellery
Amber is a beautiful and rare fossil, created millions of years ago when large stands of forests in some parts of the world began to seep globs of sticky resin! This aromatic resin oozed down the sides of trees, as well as filling internal fissures, trapping debris, such as seeds, leaves, feathers and insects. These fossilized leaves and insects are called 'inclusions' and add to the value of Baltic Amber jewellery. As geologic time progressed the forests were buried and the resin hardened into a soft, warm, golden gem, known as amber. Amber is the fossilized resin of ancient trees which forms through a natural polymerization of the original organic compounds. Most of the world's amber is in the range of 30-90 million years old.
Of all the amber deposits in the world, probably the most famous and certainly the largest is that of the Baltic region. It represents some 80% of the worlds known amber resource. Going back into prehistory this amber has been used and fashioned by humankind in countless ways and in measureless quantities. Amber from this source can be found on the East Coast of England all the way to the far shores of Estonia. The Baltic amber deposits are the largest source of amber yet discovered.
Our gemstone jewellery collection features one of a kind and limited edition Baltic Amber Necklaces, Baltic Amber Pendants, Baltic Amber rings, Baltic Amber brooches, Baltic Amber Bracelets and Baltic Amber Rings. Our jewellery for the home collection features Baltic Amber curtain tie-backs, Baltic Amber beaded curtain tie backs, Baltic Amber light pulls, Baltic Amber decorations and Baltic Amber beaded curtains. Cut from natural material, with intrinsic variation, all of the Amber used in our Baltic Amber jewellery is natural. Coral Jewellery
Corals are traded based on their colours and are classified into red corals, white corals, pink corals and also black corals. Corals are of organic origin like natural pearls. They are called organic since they are naturally created by small marine animals in deep sea, whereas other gemstones like ruby, sapphire, amethyst etc are made of rock minerals found in the land. Corals (name of Greek origin) are found in deep sea at depths ranging from 100-1000 feet. In their natural form, they are found as branching skeleton like structures and they are built by small marine animals called 'Coral Polyps'.
Red shades of coral are sometimes used as a gemstone, especially in Tibet. In vedic astrology, red coral represents Mars. Pure red coral is known as 'fire coral' and it is very rare because of the demand for perfect fire coral for jewellery-making purposes.
Moh's hardness of coral is 3-4 which means it is a softer material (diamond has a Moh's hardness of 10 and is the hardest stone) and larger pieces can be carved to create stunning pieces of jewellery.
Coral, when worn in its natural authenticity is believed to provide healing properties and is associated with protection from danger. The Romans believed coral could protect children from harm, as well as cure wounds made by snakes and scorpions and diagnose diseases by changing colour.
We only used farmed and fossilized Corals in our designs. Our one of a kind and limited edition gemstone jewellery collection features white branch coral necklaces, red branch coral necklaces, fossilized coral necklaces, pink branch coral necklaces, white branch coral pendants, fossilized coral pendants, red branch coral pendants, pink branch coral pendants, hand carved white coral earrings, fossilized coral earrings, hand carved white coral rings, hand carved red coral rings, hand carved red coral earrings, fossilized coral rings, hand carved pink coral rings and hand carved pink coral earrings. Emerald Jewellery
Emerald is a variety of the mineral beryl and is highly prized as a gemstone. Emerald is one of the four most valued gemstones along with Ruby, Sapphire and Diamond. By weight Emerald is the most valuable gemstone in the world, however its value decreases if it is highly included (all natural Emeralds do have natural inclusions to some degree).
Emeralds can be found in many shades of green and blue green, however the most valuable Emeralds are those with a deep yet vibrant colour and few inclusions.
Emerald is the traditional birthstone for May and is associated with the astrological signs of Taurus and Cancer. Emerald is the traditional stone for the 55th wedding anniversary and is also sometimes given for the 20th and 35th wedding anniversaries.
Emerald has a hardness of 7.5 to 8 on Moh's hardness scale, however the hardness of an Emerald is often reduced by inclusions.
Cleaning your Emerald jewellery: Emeralds can be gently cleaned using warm water. The vast majority of Emeralds are oiled to improve the clarity of the stone by reducing the visibility of inclusions. Take great care when cleaning an Emerald as cleaning may remove or dilute the oil, causing the clarity to be reduced and the stone to require re-oiling. Emeralds have sensitivity to high temperatures and so warm rather than hot water should be used for cleaning to avoid the chances of thermal shock. It is not advisable to clean Emeralds in an ultrasonic tank.
Our one of a kind and limited edition gemstone jewellery collection features natural Emerald necklaces, natural Emerald pendants, natural Emerald rings, natural Emerald earrings and natural Emerald bracelets. We can create bespoke genuine Emerald jewellery to your specifications by request, please contact us for details.

Opal Jewellery
Precious opal is extremely rare and fine examples are more expensive than diamond, especially black and dark opal.
Opals can be traced back in their origins to the time of the Australian aborigines. It is reported in their legends that the creator came down to Earth on a rainbow, in order to bring the message of peace to all the humans. And at the very spot, where his foot touched the ground, the stones became alive and started sparkling in all the colours of the rainbow. That was the birth of the Opals.
Depending on the kind, place of occurrence and colour of the main body, we differentiate Dark or Black Opal, White or Light Opal, Milk or Crystal Opal, Boulder Opal, Opal Matrix, Yowah Nuts from Queensland - the so-called 'picture stones', and also Mexican and Fire Opal. Opal variations are practically unlimited. Only precious opal exhibits flashes of rainbow like colours; 'common opal' does not possess this quality. We only use precious Opal in our Opal jewellery. We only use solid natural opals, we do not use composite or triplet stones (a thin layer of opal placed on top of a layer of glass or semi-precious gemstone).
All of the Opals in our Opal jewellery are sourced from opal fields in Australia, including White Cliffs, Lightning Ridge, Andamooka, Lambina and Coober Pedy. The most famous of these opal fields is probably Lightning Ridge, the place where mainly the coveted Black Opal is found. Andamooka, where Crystal Opal and Light Opal are mined, is the place where what is probably the worlds largest Opal was found, with a weight of 6,843 kilograms, the 'Andamooka Desert Flame'. Lambina (pronounced 'Lamina') has been known for producing very high quality opal for over 30 years. Coober Pedy, is a word from Aborigine language meaning 'white man in a hole'.
For ages people have believed in the healing power of Opal. It is reported to be able to cure depression and to help its wearer find their true and real love. Opals are the birthstone for people born in October. Opals are also supposed to further enhance the positive characteristics for people born under the zodiac sign of Cancer. Black Opal is recommended to those born under Scorpio, and Boulder Opal is the lucky stone for Aries.
Our one of a kind Opal jewellery collection and beaded Opal jewellery collection feature genuine Australian Opal Necklaces, Genuine Black Opal necklaces, Beaded Opal necklaces, Genuine Australian Opal pendants, Genuine black Opal pendants, Beaded Opal pendants, Genuine Australian Opal Bracelets, Genuine black Opal bracelets, Beaded Opal bracelets, Genuine white Opal bracelets, Genuine Australian Opal earrings, Genuine black Opal earrings, Beaded Opal earrings, Genuine Australian Opal rings, Genuine black Opal rings, Mexican fire Opal necklaces, Mexican fire Opal pendants, Mexican fire Opal bracelets, Mexican fire Opal rings and Mexican fire Opal earrings. We can create one of a kind Australian Opal jewellery, Mexican fire Opal jewellery and Opal jewellery for the home to your specifications by request, please contact us for details.
Opal Jewellery Care: Do not use harsh cleansers on your opal jewellery and do not clean opals with ultrasonic cleaners. Never rub oil on an opal, because although it makes the fire brighter it can damage the opal. Some jewellers recommend you periodically soak opals in water to help them reabsorb lost moisture.

Pearl Jewellery
Pearls may be Freshwater or Saltwater and may be cultured or naturally grown. Pearls are produced by certain animals, primarily molluscs such as pearl oysters and are cultivated or harvested for jewellery. One of the main factors determining the value of a pearl is it's lustre, which depends upon the reflection and refraction of light from translucent layers and becomes finer in proportion as the layers become finer and more numerous. Pearls are also valued by their shape, with the round shaped pearls being the most valuable, their size, with the larger pearls being the most valuable and rare, and whether they are naturally grown or cultured, with naturally grown pearls being by far the most rare and valuable.
Pearls are usually white or white with a cream or pink tinge but are also available tinted with yellow, green, blue, brown, purple or black.
Freshwater pearls are formed in freshwater mussels and saltwater pearls are grown in oysters. Pearls occur when a foreign object such as a grain of sand, or more commonly a parasite enters the oyster or mollusc. As a natural defence against the foreign object, the oyster secretes nacre and deposits layers of this nacre (mother of pearl) over the object. This layering process is repeated for many years, creating a pearl.
Natural Pearls are 100% nacre. Cultured pearls are formed when a larger foreign object is artificially placed into an oyster, with fewer layers of nacre forming over the object. Advances in pearl cultivation have made it increasingly difficult to determine whether a pearl is natural, however an X-ray of the pearl will show the structure of the pearl clearly.
Black pearls, commonly known as Black Tahitian Pearls are highly valued due to their rarity. Before the days of cultured pearls Black pearls were incredibly rare due to the fact that white pearl oysters rarely produce black pearls, and black pearl oysters rarely produce any pearls at all.
The Akoya Pearl is a Saltwater pearl from the Akoya oyster. Akoya Pearls are known for their aesthetic qualities and are the classic pearl variety used in fine jewellery.
South Sea Pearls are the rarest and most valuable variety of pearl.
Pearls are the official birthstone for the month of June and are the birthstone for the Sun signs of Gemini and Cancer. Freshwater Pearls are traditionally given on the first wedding anniversary and are also given on the 3rd 12th and 30th anniversaries.
Our collection of Pearl jewellery features both Freshwater Pearl jewellery and Saltwater Pearl jewellery, with both naturally grown pearls and cultured pearls. Ruby Jewellery
The name Ruby comes from Ruber, Latin for red. Natural Rubies are incredibly rare and have a hardness of 9.0 on Moh's scale, with only diamonds being harder.
Ruby is a variety of the mineral Corundum and varies in colour from light pink to blood red. All natural Rubies have imperfections, including colour impurities and inclusions, known as 'silk'. These natural imperfections are commonly used to distinguish a natural Ruby from a synthetic one.
The value of a Ruby is primarily determined by colour (with the brightest red Rubies being the most valuable), clarity, with the clearest stones commanding the highest value and also Carat weight (size).
Ruby is the birthstone associated with July and of the Zodiac sign Leo. Ruby is associated with the sun in Vedic astrology. Ruby symbolizes love in many cultures.

Although blue is the most usual colour of Sapphire, it can be found in pink, yellow, orange (padparadscha Sapphires) and green. Any colour other than blue is considered to be a fancy colour Sapphire.
A Star Sapphire is a type of Sapphire which displays a six rayed star shaped pattern, a phenomenon known as asterism. The value of a star sapphire is determined by the Carat weight of the stone, the colour and clarity of the stone and the intensity of the star.
Sapphires have a hardness of 9 on Moh's hardness scale, second only to Diamond.

Turquoise Jewellery
Turquoise is an opaque, blue-to-green mineral that is a hydrous phosphate of copper and aluminium. It is rare and valuable in finer grades and has been prized as a gem and ornamental stone for thousands of years owing to its unique hue.
Turquoise is one of the oldest gemstones. The pastel shades of turquoise have endeared it to many great cultures of antiquity: it has adorned the rulers of Ancient Egypt, the Aztecs (and possibly other Pre-Columbian Mesoamericans), Persia, Mesopotamia, the Indus Valley, and to some extent in ancient China since at least the Shang Dynasty.
A common belief shared by many of these civilizations held that turquoise possessed certain prophylactic qualities; it was thought to change colour with the wearer's health and protect him or her from untoward forces.
'Sleeping Beauty Turquoise' is a type of turquoise which is mined in Arizona USA. This variety of turquoise is generally the most highly prized turquoise and is a vivid medium blue turquoise shade.
We only use natural turquoise in our Turquoise jewellery collection.
