“Idle Pots” Taken half hour before dawn in February 2008. The little fishing cove of Porth Meudwy is at the western end of Aberdaron bay at the very end of the Llyn peninsula. The morning was bitterly cold, and the heavy frost on the ground was glistening in the pre-dawn light. My camera as always was on a firm tripod, which is needed on long exposures (fifteen seconds in this case) I had toyed with the idea of tidying the rope on the lobster pot, but decided against it. My lens of choice was a wide angle, which has given the image extra depth.
